Hospitality Lead

Full-time, hybrid position with two days in office
Must live in or be willing to relocate to Washington D.C/Baltimore area

About the Role

The Center for Christianity and Public Life (CCPL) is seeking a Hospitality Lead to serve as a welcoming, relational, and operational events powerhouse for the organization. The Center for Christianity and Public Life is a nonpartisan institution, based in Washington, D.C. The Center’s mission is to contend for the credibility of Christian resources in public life, for the public good. We advance this mission through two parallel streams of work: Public Imagination–we explain Christianity to the public, and advance Christian resources for the good of the public; and Christian Civic Formation–we grow, resource, convene and represent the community of Christians who are convinced that spiritual formation is central to civic renewal.

As CCPL’s programs and convenings continue to expand in scope and visibility, this role is central to curating beautiful, high-caliber experiences that reflect our deep care for the person and our commitment to excellence in public life.

The Hospitality Lead is invigorated by CCPL’s vision and eager to translate that vision into tangible, memorable guest experiences. This person thrives when thinking holistically about how the visual identity, physical environment, run-of-show, and interpersonal dynamics combine to create gatherings that are cohesive and thoughtful. They are both highly creative and rigorously detail-oriented, capable of managing complex logistics while designing environments that foster formation, trust, and meaningful engagement.

This role leads the planning and execution of logistics for high-profile live programs, summits, and intimate convenings across a wide range of stakeholders—including program participants, civic leaders, donors, board members, and strategic partners. In addition to external events, the Hospitality Lead helps shape internal staff culture alongside the Chief of Staff and President, cultivating rhythms of welcome, attentiveness, and shared celebration within the team.

All staff are essential contributors to the life, health, and spiritual vitality of the CCPL community.
