David Bisgrove
Pastoral Civic Leadership Advisor
David Bisgrove joins the Center for Christianity and Public Life as Pastoral Civic Leadership Advisor, serving part-time alongside the CCPL team. In this role, David collaborates with the Director on curriculum and program design, helps recruit and engage pastors for each cohort, and serves as a pastoral guide throughout the program—from the in-person retreat to virtual cohort sessions. He also supports assessment of the cohort experience and contributes advisory insight toward CCPL’s long-term growth and strategy.
David most recently served as Senior Pastor of Redeemer West Side in New York City, retiring in 2024 after 25 years on staff at Redeemer. Mentored by Tim Keller, his ministry leadership spans seasons of significant transition, including the handoff from Redeemer’s founding pastor, organizational restructuring for long-term sustainability, and shepherding a congregation through the disruptions of pandemic, protest, and political division.
Prior to his pastoral ministry, David earned an MBA and MPH from Columbia University and held leadership roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Columbia University School of Medicine—experience that continues to inform his work at the intersection of faith, leadership, and public life.
